WHY A 9MM!!! While every other company is using 15mm, specialized continues to use 9mm on some many of their bikes. After using a 15mm, 9mm seems like a flexy piece of poo. Sick bike otherwise though
Haha ya it's definitely better than a standard 9mm but 15mm is still going to blow it away. I just don't see the reasoning behind not using a 15mm axle. It's hardly heavier. Even many xc race bikes use them now, such as giants 21lb full suspension xc race bike
Oh ok. How capable did you find your trek? I'm looking into an all mountain bike and I'm not really sure how light or heavy I want to go. I can't decide between a 160mm travel in the low 30's or something 28ish lbs that is 140-150 travel with a 32 fork
Ok so you found the 32 to be lacking? I may even try the cannondale claymore. 180mm is more than I want but with the 110mm mode on the rear shock and the 140-180mm talas up front, it may be a pretty versatile bike. The lowest end model is 32 lbs so it's not heavy either
