i wanted to ask, if your shock piggy back doesn't hit the cables on the frame?

Chromag seat would look beast on this bike.

It's on the short list. Pretty much that, or the Vanderham one.

 Good, Faved.

New shock is more urgent though. Need to get another $250 for an RC4.
  • 10
wow thats a beautifull bike there.
  • 10
 Athanka.
  • 10
yeah but the seat looks awkward. just look at the front of it lol
  • 10
It's not too bad. Bit on the heavy side but extra padding comes in handy when you run 5/6.5" travel.
  • 10
yeah. btw how r thoose wheels?
  • 10
What size is the shock? 2.25x7.875?
  • 10
 Oui monsieur
  • 10
awe cause I'll be selling my brand new RC4 but unfortunately its a 2.75x8.75
  • 10
Damn. There WAS a perfect fit RC4 but it just got sold today... SO it looks like I'm going with a Cane Creek Double Barrel.

Awe bummer. I've never ridden one, but apparently the CCDB is pretty much the best shock on the market. I already got my '11 Glory so I'm just waiting for my short i2i Elka to arrive

TBH I'd rather have a Vivid, or the X-fusion coil thing with separate hi/low circuits.
I just don't know if I can bring myself to pay that much for a shock that comes from a company that makes headsets and road brakes...

Have you thought about Elka? I've heard nothing but good things so I'm going to go for it. It's nice that they custom valve all of their shocks too
  • 10
I've considered it but nobody is selling them in the size I need.
  • 10
Oh ok. How's the DHX Air? Just not smooth or what?
  • 10
Good shock and everything. Just not what I want. Coil is just oh so nice and sucking up those little bumps, and it's more consistent at varying altitudes and locations.
  • 10
 Oh ya that makes sense
  • 10
If the CCDB doesn't pan out, and I can't get something I want on clearance from a shop or w/e... I might just take this one to Suspensionwerx an get it tuned to feel a bit more like a coil shock.
  • 10
Have you thought about a dhx5? Apparently they are amazing when custom valved and I'm sure you could find one for dirt cheap since it's the old shock
  • 10
I have, and nobody wants to get rid of them right now.
If I can get one clearance through a shop then I will.
Basically I'm up for any top end shock. Fox DHX5/RC4, RS Vivid, X-Fusion Vector HLR, CCDB, Elka... Pretty much only thing I don't REALLY want is a Manitou or Marzocchi.
