For the price of the 240s I would just get a King. Purdy colors...no they are fairly light but the engagements are great and oh how I love the airplane sound. The 240s is nice with the upgraded 36pt star ratchets. I don't get why that hub does not come with them.

but what he can't do, is get my 240's for the price of a king... haha, the upgrade for the 36pts came out shortly after I got my wheelset. at first I was bumbed, but haven't cared to upgrade them...

 Short cage rear d please.
  • 10
I may be getting ahold of a medium cage X0 for free so then I'll throw that on there
  • 10
Still not a short cage though. =[
  • 10
I don't remember the exact cost but I believe just the short cage for the X0 is around $120. X9 is like $80. So ill see because those prices are pretty ridiculous for just a d cage
  • 10
You can pick up cages for x9's?
It was what I was going to do but then I cheaped out.

you can get the carbon cage from sram, but it's like 100 bucks i think. or thereabouts via qbp...

 Bike bone-urrrr

 too much 'powered by sram'

I agree with you 100% but the brake, shifter, derailleur and cassette were all free so I cant complain. Actually I can complain because Elixirs absolutely blow. But next up is a 240S for the rear and MAYBE XTR cranks, just because they make any bike that they touch look so f*cking ballin.

Look at the DT wheelsets you can get from Norco before you get the 240. They have soem pretty sick sets for only a couple bucks more than a hub. I'm going to get the M1600 I think. 340 hub with 10mm thru axle should be set!

Ok I will thanks. What's your reason for going 340 over 240? What's the difference even? I just saw that the 240 is lighter so, being a weight dick, i just assumed I should go for the 240 haha
  • 10
Haha yeah the 240 is damn light. Only reason I'm going for the wheel with the 340 hub only because of price. This one retails for $550 for the rear where as the wheel running the 240 is the EX1750 and it retails for like $900. Also I think the EX1750 has been discontinued so not sure what it's replacement will be.

Although the EX wheelset looks way better so I might just forget about the $$ and buy solely on looks/weight. That's the smart way to buy right?
