Why are the stanchions dropped through the crowns so much? Looks odd.. Sick bike otherwise

Looks like he cut his steerer tube to short. Unless he loves being over the front end(high platform super low clamp height)

He has just clamped lower on the stantions. I don't understand what there is to clarify? Steerer tube length doesn't affect where you're clamps meet the stantions.

all you had to say was clamped lower on the stantions and i would have said cheers. either way his steerer is still short imo
