Damn this is a nice sunday! That Vivid Air almost looks to big for the frame space.

Thanks and the Vivid Air is too big for the frame space. I had to grind out the inside of that CNC'd spot to allow the air can to fit. It took alotta work to do but well worth it in the end Smile

Wow some one was determinded to get that shock to fit haha how much grinding did you have to do on it? Maybe you could stick a photo on here (if you haven't already). I am after a Sunday frame and was thinking of sticking a vivid air it in. How does it ride? I heard they ride like there are on rails in the corners.

Ahhhha oh yeah, I was going to do what ever it took to make it fit Razz Me and a buddy spent over 10 hours of constant grinding with a little fine crafts tool. I wanted it done right. To get the shock to fit it only required a few millimeters to be taken off of both sides which would not affect the strength since everything in that area is so beefy! I have lots of pics in my profile showing the whole process of before and after of trying to get the shock to fit. If you can get your hands on a Sunday, go for it! There such awesome bikes and with the Vivid Air on it its like riding on a cloud. The air feels exactly like a coil shock and it takes everything you throw at it. I have noticed that I do not get much pedal bob with the air which gives me a better pedal platform and even with having 30% sag I still sit higher up in the travel compared to coil. This is good since I don't go through all the travel quickly and when a bigger hit comes up I don't fully bottom out allowing me to have some reserved travel to adsorbe the next impact Smile

Yeah I am really interested in getting one. I have seen a few of your pics and the frame. yeah, you havent filed that much out. Problem I have is there aren't really any Sunday frames local to me. I prefer to see the frame and do cash in hand deals

Nope, not alot was taken off, just a few millimeters which won't affect the strength of the frame at all. Just keep your eyes open and if you can get your hands on one then definitely go for it! You will not be disappointed Smile But I know its hard to meet up locally. I had to have my frame mailed to me but the seller took many pics so I knew what I was getting

wow looks so good! How does it ride? Do you have it at school with you?
  • 1 0
It rides amazingly! With the air suspension it just glides over everything like your on a cloud. The whole bike is dead silent, you can not hear any noises coming from it. I have never felt a bike this smooth before Big Grin and yes I got my bike here at school. I'm down to ride anytime!
