 Scott Voltage FR

Is it a 216mm shoc ik 222mm mounts?
  • 10
TommieXD, in this setup, Brendan is running a 200mm eye to eye rear shock (with a 2" stroke) and using the 215mm mounts. This gives the bike 110mm rear wheel travel (when in the "A" linkage mounts).

Ty very much Wink Got a voltage to and soon it will be SS orientated so I was interested in this one ;P
  • 10
No problem Smile i just wonder how low the bottom bracket will be... The 2011 and newer voltages have a 1/2" lower bb height than the 2010. When you use a smaller shock and the bigger mounts like Brendan did in this picture, it lowers the bb to 12.2" or so. That's pretty low...

Idk if 12.2 rides that well, looks quite low to me... I'm going with a 216mm E2E and 63mm stroke I think Wink Gives me a nice 130mm of travel.
  • 10
Yeah, that is pretty low. Yes, if you run a 215mm mount with a 215mm e2e shock (with a 63mm stroke) you will have either 135mm travel (position a) or 150mm (position b).

I have to correct my previous post. In this setup, the rear shock is a 200mm e2e with a 57mm stroke (215mm mounts used). Short travel option = 120mm rear wheel travel. Long travel option = 130mm rear wheel travel.
