 Why put a huge vengeance on it rather than an 831 or argyle? Or even a velvet for that matter. IMO that's way to much fork for the bike

 because xfusions are dope, super stiff, and way better value than either of the forks you listed. They deserve their time in the sun, and guys who ride hard will appreciate the stiffness and stability of the fork over weaker platforms.

 moonunit, i dont see what the problem is, so many people rip fox 36\s on street rigs. light and strong.

 You both make excellent points, however I think a street bike doesn't need a freeride fork lowered to 80mm. X-fusion forks are dope, and I suppose the stiffness argument is valid, but I think it looks rather bulky. But hey, it's your bike do what you want!
