Only had a couple of days riding on it so far and had never ridden the Scalp with a coil so cant directly compare, what I can say is I am really impressed with it so far and didnt notice any difference from coil shocks on previous bikes I have owned, from small bump compliance to bit hits...so whether thats the shock or suspension design or bit of both am not sure but so far so good and the bonus of not needing to swap springs around if your on the borderline between 2 weights.

 Thanks for that, I have both already for my Nomad and the air is better, had both for my V10 and the coil was better.
Will be interesting to test between them both on the Scalp as I like the coil 50lb heavier than recommended on the Scalp (450lb for a 12st rider)
