How much were the disc rotors, they look awesome Smile
  • 1 0
Cheers, I got the rotors for £30 each but i think the rrp is between £70 and £90 each. they are Hope V2 Vented rotors.

Thanks, I have hope hubs and I want the rotors as well ya know what I mean Smile check out my ride, it's the 2013 set up on my profile, wanna see what people think of my ride, thanks

Yeah, i was looking at your bike early, it looks lush! Big Grin What shock have you got on it?
  • 1 0
It's an Elka 5 stage, it's so adjustable with high speed comp, low speed comp, rebound and preload, so smooth as well, ur bike looks great with the saint cranks Smile
  • 1 0
Ah, it looks really nice Smile how much did it cost u? Cheers swap an old wheel for the cranks. Big Grin

The shock cost me 280£ new off chain reaction cycles, the bike with all upgrades cost me 3650£ which is the price for a new bike with similar specs, for that price you could get a kona operator but I have better rims, hubs, and the rear shock which does not come standard on any bike I know of, urs is custom right? I don't often see hope discs on stock bikes Smile

that quite a lot, but your bike looks mint! Big Grin I'm not to keen on operators, i tried 1 on a demo day and found it to heavy. Yeah custom, cost me a little over £2000 all in, i got a good deal of a m8. Got the 2013 fox 36's for £499 brand new!

I love intense stuff, it just looks epic, you got one hell of a deal there, one bike dh that I don't like the aesthetics of is the gt Razz , do you know much about Scott voltages ? I've got interchangeable links to fit 216, 222, and 241 mm shocks, I love fox shox but personally If I was getting dual crowns I would have manitou dorrados, don't know why just that they look awesome, I'm getting a 29 Er to train on to get my fitness up for dh, I'm getting a cube acid 29 er

Aye there pretty nice. And yeah i don't really like GT's my self. I almost got a voltage and its quite cool how you can change the length of the rear shock with the interchangeable links, but i couldn't find one in as good condition as the intense so i got the intense. I had Domain DC's on for a bit and they didn't feel right on the bike and when i had the change to get the 36's for only £499 (£400 less than rrp) i jumped at the chance. Yeah manitou dorrados do look mint but my m8 got some and had a load of problems with them. That's a good idea i was think about getting a road bike for training on.

I've never had any problems so far with my boxxers, what do you think of marzochi 888s, training on a road bike sounds like a great idea, I'm getting a cube 29er acid to train on because the loop I want to do involves gravely stretches and plus I like the idea of getting a 29er, I bet you jumped at those forks at that price Big Grin , what do you think of cubes?
  • 1 0
Yeah iv not heard of anyone having problems with boxxers, but i would defo have 40s over boxxers, i really like marzochi 888s from 2010, i think they look lush and i have some m8s with them and they love them. Yeah i think it work be a good idea to get a road bike but just get a cheap..ish one like a giant Defy 3 2013, but get a 29er would be good to cus there pretty on the road and you can have some good fun on a trail too. And yeah i like cudes, i went on a cube ELITE SUPER HPC SLT 29 at a demo and it was great. Both me and my Dad both really like the whyte 29ers range, probs the best 29er iv been on... but iv only been on 3... haha Big Grin

I also love the look of cubes, the analog has loads of shimano parts and eastern so it should be great, the one bike I hate that loads of people seem to have are old ish konas, they just look awful, they're cheap and nasty, my fav looking bike is the norco arrum, looks so nice, cubes are good quality for money, my friend want to change the colour of his bike by sending it to a company right ... And he wants his spring sprayed red and I'm like nooooo that'll look awful, he's probably never gonna do it though, he's one of those people who say they're gonna do loads of great or terrible things in this case but never get round to doing it, my fav park to go is the Forest of Dean, the new jump trails are so epic, clearing them is so easy now, I learnt to clear them fully before Christmas so I might learn now how to whip Big Grin

Sounds good m8. And i agree with u, i don't like the look of the older ones but the new kona 2014 carbon operator looks sick, quite similar looking to the arrum, my m8 got one a couple of months ago and he loves it. Mite not be to bad getting his frame spray professionally... but spraying his spring... bad idea and i know what you mean, i know some one just like that. Never been there, looks good though. I love setters near cockermouth, really fun, fast trails with good jumps, biggish drops and their pretty long too and this track i went to in keswick yesterday, its Adam Brayton's trail its got massive jumps and iv just got my whips to about 70, 75 degrees now. Big Grin

Nice whips, I hope I can learn without too many falls haha, I GET MY. UBE ON THURSDAY, IM SO EXITED, it's got shimano parts where possible. I'm still learning drops but I am pretty comfortable with any jump you would find at the Forest of Dean Smile

Cheers m8, I don't think i had many falls, just a couple of near misses, Hows your cude ride? And I just watched a video that was filmed there and it looks so fun!

I've got an ss1 too. Do you have quite a lot of rear end flex even with a 12mm axle?
