Review: Commencal Meta Power SX Avinox
@mr-moose: yeah if the frame allows I'm not sure why they don't ship the bike that way. I also don't see the benefit of running the shock along the top tube. Can basically keep the exact same platform but move the top tube mount to the downtube. Lowers the COG and creates a lot more room in the triangle.

Review: Commencal Meta Power SX Avinox
My Meta v5 rode excellent but with how competitive bikes are these days, Commencal you really need to figure out the water bottle situation. Having to reach down to your bottom bracket to take a drink sucks. May seem like a nitpick but over time it really gets annoying. Also its like a jigsaw puzzle figuring out which bottle will fit. My only option was a fidlock and shave down some plastic so it wouldn't rub on the shock. Unfortunately this new SX appears to have the exact same water bottle issue. At least its an ebike where water consumption arguably less critical.

Bike Checks: What the Top Women Are Running at the 2026 Aletsch Arena Enduro World Cup
@peterknightuk: keep in mind that Murray won a number of men’s EDRs on a Lyrik. He’s a lighter guy but still heavier than most if not all of those women.

Bike Checks: What the Top Women Are Running at the 2026 Aletsch Arena Enduro World Cup
@Opinionator: all I said was I’m not surprised to see a mix of 36s and 38s. Idk what you’re trying to argue about but it seems like you’re lacking a basic understanding of my simple comment.

Bike Checks: What the Top Women Are Running at the 2026 Aletsch Arena Enduro World Cup
@Opinionator: where in any way did I call into question their athleticism? I said they weight 130 lbs... therefore not surprising to see some Lyriks/36s in the mix. Simply calling out that there's more Zebs/38s in this lineup after OP said there was a "little" amount of them. Well, there's more than half, so it's not "little".

@peterknightuk: from the photos, appears Elly and Geza are on 38s, not 36s. edit: Elly on 38, Geza on 36

Bike Checks: What the Top Women Are Running at the 2026 Aletsch Arena Enduro World Cup
@Opinionator: there's five 38 stanchioned forks, two 36 stanchioned forks and one USD fork. Two of eight 130lb riders on lyriks is notable? If anything, I'm surprised that many are on 38 stanchioned forks...

Counting 5 of the 8 checks are on 38s/Zebs. Seems pretty high given they are lighter riders, no?
