Aug 27, 2025Canyon Stoic 4
$1200 USDXl matte green 2021 Canyon stoic 4 with upgrades:
1. Dt swiss 350 rear hub with 36t ratchet, re-laced to original rim by bike mechanic. The original 3-pawl hub blew out as I was climbing steep trails.
2. 40 mm riser bar
3. Helicopter taped all over. Scuffs in pics are of the tape.
4. Changed the seat and grips. Stock seat was super stiff and stock grips were crap.
Ridden lightly by a 50 year old dad, like 2-3 times per year on blue trails and it’s time to own the fact that I need to only be on full suspension if I want to keep riding. Never hucked, always planted. Everything else is stock I believe. I’ve serviced the fork a year ago and since then it has had two very light rides on it. I’m 6’2”, 250# with gear and it felt big to me in all the right ways. Upright position while climbing. Easy to descend. I’ll regret selling this as soon as it’s gone but I don’t have time to ride it and it really should be in more active hands. It’s currently in the Santa Cruz mountains where my brother in law tested it out to see if it fit him. He also ended up going full suspension.
Here’s a link to a review and the parts that came on this version (the current version listed on Canyon’s site has different stock parts).

Review: Reeb Steezl - US Made & Super Capable
I rode with Jeff this past weekend at outerbike in Moab, both of us on the steezl, on day one.
At the end of the event on Sunday, we met up and he asked me what I thought of the steezl compared to everything else I rode. Hands down I felt the reeb Steezl was the all around winner. It climbed as well if not better than carbon bikes and descended with travel to spare. This should be your next bike if you’re looking for anything over 120 in the rear. Also, the entire Reeb crew should get shout outs for making good on their name (backwards) and handing out cold ones all day every day of the event. Support this company, they rock.
