MRP's New Weight-Specific Lift Damper Fits Fox, RockShox & New MRP Forks
@bobpretend: I liked the upgrade, and I think I might like the Ribbon on a different bike, but the Ribbon just couldn't cut it as an enduro fork. It was massively outperformed by even a base model Mezzer. The airspring never felt consistent and had to be re setup every ride, the chassis wasn't stiff enough for a gravity focused sled, and the damper developed a really nasty knock. Hell, even after the upgraded bushings I still had issues with binding.

First Look: Marzocchi's New Super Z 38mm Fork
Yeah I was excited, but for 1000 dollars, you might as well spring for a 38. You can get a zeb for like 700 in base models, so what gives here?

First Ride: 2024 Yeti SB165 - Now With Mixed Wheels
6300 isn't cheap but for a boutique carbon bike with pretty much no weak points in the spec it's not bad. Only thing I don't like is the code Rs, but that's vastly preferable to getting something like guides on an enduro bike.

First Ride: Rocky Mountain's 2024 Altitude Has a Completely Revised Frame Design
@dick-pound: "So women go slow and need to ride 27.5? Is that the reasoning behind?" No, if you're 155 cm tall a 27.5 wheel is probably a lot, lot easier to manage. A 29 inch wheel for someone 155cm is like a 35" wheel for me.

First Ride: Rocky Mountain's 2024 Altitude Has a Completely Revised Frame Design
Yeah it's nice to see a flip chip that actually does something. The geo is dialed in a way that I can actually see keeping it in neutral for most riding, slack for park, and steep for this one race near me that has like 500 meters of xc at the end of every enduro stage....

First Ride: Fox Releases New Grip X & Grip X2 Dampers
@nskerb: The motion control on my hardtail has run ok longer than any other damper I've owned has run at all. Like one of those old GM 3.8 V6s.

5 Key Stats From Enduro Racers in the Pinkbike State of the Sport Survey 2024
I think payouts are low cause it's borderline impossible to broadcast enduro. The tough truth is that enduro, with it's "just riding a bike in the woods" format, doesn't make good TV. A fun format for riders is not always a fun format for viewers. Really it should be 5-6 mini downhill races, where the top 15 in the series get their runs full broadcasted. Times and positions would be available to everybody at the end of each stage. I know a lot of people probably hate what I just said, try to think of the perspective of a *non-rider* viewer.
