@Jtstar: I meant that as for the guys rushing down the finish line... Not all people in the crowd. If you do that, you understand the assignment and the risks (like in a pogo or a wall of death in a metal concert for example), simple as that. For the record, I was there with my wife and lil daughter, they were a bit behind and I was in the middle of the crowd on the hill. Only the people at the very edge of the track went rushing. Where I was, I haven't move a bit or been pushed or anything else ! And I was like 15m from the last table, so "well placed" to see the show

@davetrumpore: Thank you Dave to "put back the church in the middle of the village" (as we say in french ;) ) Yes this year it was maybe a tad too much and we should turn it down a notch, but seeing that many bad things written down (some borderline hateful let's be honest) by people that have not even been there a single time in person is quite sickening. I was there this Saturday, I was there in 2022 (and part of the rush myself). Few things to precise: - People saying that the ones making noise and rushing are not proper fans, have not been in France a single time and maybe cannot comprehend the passion for MTB people have here (and for partying I grant you that). Most of the girls/guys are from the local or nearby mtb scene, in their 20ies, making a silly mess and enjoying it - All those silly things done trackside are 99% of the time just fun and joyful crazyness, young guys just expressing themselves and partying. I have yet to see a proper bad behaviour happening trackside. Clumsy ? For sure some times, but really never badly meant (I've seen young guys cutting off their chainsaws when approaching a young kid or a dog for example) - All that being said, you know EXACTLY what to expect from Les Gets, what is happening and the way it happens. Would you wish to take part of it or not is your own decision (I've not done the rush this year so I've stayed a bit behind enjoying the atmosphere), but it's not like you are trapped in it and cannot escape it or else... You have all the means to enjoy it in a different, calmer way. Again I totally get the Tour de France / Group B kind of thinking / criticism and I concur in the fact we must find a sweet spot to avoid affecting the competition and health of the riders (for the people in the crowd, I might sound harsh but i'd say it's "do it at your own risk") But PLEASE! let us enjoy those kind of moments, I don't want the venues to fit some "pisse-froids" and become sanitized and dull trackside. Sorry for the rant and if I've not expressed myself clearly enough

Thanks Charlie for this showcase ! I'd say that you are indeed well above average in my opinion ! The best shot was probably when Lolo passed you: in a matter of meters, he was already gone oO I've watched it a couple times and still cannot process how he manages to generate that much speed compared to you (that were already quite charging). As some guys said, those pros are miles and miles above already good riders, that's mind blowing

Americans being triggered by this kind of duality is quite a funny sight to be honest... Even if deep down I'm all for even more venues outside of Europe (and I mean not only in NA btw)

@Struggleteam: Apparently it was a compromise to take to try to cope with the (very) loose conditions. The guy in charge of the competition at Michelin mentioned exactly that in one of the Fast AF videos (He even mentioned pressures around 1.2/1.3 bars for lighter riders oO)... But yeah, it's at the expense of the rims haha
