Fox Ditches Firm Mode & Improves Sensitivity On Grip X Trail Damper
I have a 36 SL with the outgoing GripX and it's kinda just meh. Doesn't feel particularly sophisticated or high-traction. After running GripX2 on another bike, that was amazing by comparison. Not sure I'd want to drop 3-400 dollars on the inevitable upgrade kit tho. Also I have never used the lockout once.

The 2026 Specialized Levo R is in a Category of its Own
this makes zero sense. the base build is $9200 and weighs 49lbs. meanwhile you can get a SC Vala 70 for $7800 that weighs the same, has more travel, beefier build kit etc. If they wanted to target weight why not put the 600wh battery in? and Motive brakes on a full power eeb is so dumb. I guess itll be ridden by dentist jerries so it doesnt really matter, right?

Nov 20, 2025Santa Cruz Megatower V2 CC Large - Custom Build
$3200 USDFrame-up build. XT drivetrain, Fox Performance Elite suspension (GripX2 38 and factory DHX2), Hayes Dominion A4s, Wolftooth Resolve Dropper and lever, Oneup handlebar and bash guide. Raceface Turbine wheels, MaxxGrip Assegai EXO+ and MaxxTerra DHR II DoubleDown
A few small frame scuffs. There's a ~1mm nick in the stanchion from road debris that I'm going to fill in with a SendHit repair kit (doesnt affect performance and the dust wiper is fine). New chain with only 2 rides on it. Fork has 20hrs of ride time, shock has 50. Can include extra brake pads and frame bearing kit. Selling because I have 2 other bikes and never ride this one.

YT Industries Releases Jeffsy Core Range
came here to say this. A4s on nearly every model is so sick. These brakes rock!

Interview: Specialized’s MTB Product Team on Moving to Auburn, New Suspension Concepts, & Rider Feedback
That bonded trail bike frame is gorgeous... I presume it'll be next gen stumpy. something will be lost when it goes all carbon instead of this awesome lugged design.

Industry Nine Expands S-Series Wheel Range
What's the specifics of the new axle? It's mentioned only once. My Hydras are over 3 years old, on original bearings. the rear hub is feeling a little rough. might be a worthwhile upgrade for heavier/stronger/faster riders?
