Reynolds Releases More Affordable TR Mountain Wheels
@chimp75: No arguing on straight pull. Last thing anyone needs on MTB is another interface that creaks. As for spoke counts: you do not want to "engineer" compliance by dropping spoke count: all that does is decrease the number of spokes & nipples you're cycling the crap out of & increase frequency of your truing. My carbon build is w/ a 35mm internal rim & 32 J-Bend CX-Rays. Tracks laser true w/ zero "harshness" as a downside, particularly since a 35mm rim lets me knock 5psi off what I run w/ narrower aluminum rims. I honestly find it bizarre that so many PBers complain about harshness of carbon rims when they all profess to ride 6-8" travel bikes w/ 2.5" tires. If we were talking about running 35psi on a hardtail w/ XC tires I'd understand. Headscratcher.
