Intrusive Thoughts: How Much Can Modern Parts Improve My Old Bike?

Dario I am in need of a real mtb. A couple summers ago I broke my collar bone aboard my trusty but aging Evil Insurgent. I was planning an upgrade before my mishap and sold the Evil. Instead of new bike funds the cash was used to put my collar bone back together. Im a father of 2 and adulting has prevented me from acquiring a new ride. I pedal around my fat bike with my kids but the fatty really limits the fun factor and the desire to really ride like I once did aboard the Evil. I believe this Transition would be perfect to get me on the trails and riding like I once did. Thank you for your consideration.
