@jjhobbs: Ill work on it. But I've been pushing for speed simply to clear the jumps in front of me.
With my 27.5 bike I could pedal right off the jump, and I would still case. On my smuggler it just carry so much more downhill speed I am finding myself braking before jumps.
And for the record. All my wrecks have been on turns, not the jumps.

@Bike-JAM-AMA: I got the smuggler because it seemed like a burly trail bike to me. One that can take the big hits, but has a short travel making the small jumps equally fun. I was hoping for an all around bike I can take to the chairlift parks, but can still enjoy at the trails near my house.
I mainly ride local trails south of the twin cities, nothing crazy.
All of my wrecks have been in berms though. The jumps aren't typically the issue.

This year marks my entering into aggressive trail riding. Everything was fine when I was under biked on my 27.5 hard tail.
I acquired a transition smuggler to allow me to push harder Into my riding. The false sense of confidence it brought hasn't been great to me.
3 wrecks later, I fractured my clavicle and sprained the associated shoulder pretty badly. ( over a month ago now) Its luckily off season for my area, but Im still rehabing that shoulder, and its very weak.
Also looking into better PPE for next year.

Thanks again, for the stellar deal on my dream bike! Rode Cuyuna last weekend! I wanted to leave you a review. But since we met in person, it's not an option. This is the best I got.
