Pinkbike Poll: Are You a Brand Loyalist?
@phops: Industry plant? I have loyalty to certain brands but its because they have great products and customer service. If their products at some point in time prove otherwise or I have a bad experience customer service wise, my loyalty will quickly end, it’s a fragile thing.

First Ride: Santa Cruz Updates the Blur - More Travel, More Weight, More Fun?
@nedersotan: Fair points, but what if the new bike was lighter and faster than the old bike with the same updated geo? Instead of being the same weight or worse, heavier than the old one? Adding frame storage at a weight penalty is hardly innovative, seems lazy and catering to a minority voice in the market. I think the people that prefer the updates and features associated should probably be on the Tallboy in the first place.

That helps it be less aero, you can run smaller rotors that way to make up for the increased frame weight.

First Ride: Santa Cruz Updates the Blur - More Travel, More Weight, More Fun?
@justanotherusername: Maybe, but guessing more Epic 9’s will be sold than this boomer XC rail trail machine.

I’m confused isn’t the Tallboy a trail bike and this is supposed to be a race bike? Why are we saying it’s ok to add weight for cable routing and frame storage on a race bike? Seems like Specialized and other manufactures have taken the opposite approach which is to make the fastest bike for racing, this seems like an XC bike for non-competitive people.
