After a devastating injury last year, Raewyn (Rae) is hoping to bounce back this season, starting with Cranworx Rotorua. Watch as she shreds across trails in her native New Zealand in preparation for the big event.
Huge leaps in the design and graphics quality of women's cycling gear in the past couple years. As a man, I'm even jealous of some of it (Specialized, Canyon). Five or six years ago I'd get secondhand embarrassment from some particularly junky pieces. Women aren't men, but they are adults; a woman's bike and kit don't need to look like a GIRL'S bike and kit to be distinctly feminine.
I shattered my calcaneus the same manner in 2015 when I smashed into a rockgarden. I am still recovering. I know what a serious injury it is. This year is my first enduro series since the accident aswell. I somehow feel connected to this vid. All the best, Rae!
Does anyone know what MTB shorts she was wearing? My girlfriend has been looking for some slimmer fitting, longer shorts like that for ages. She also happens to ride a Giant/LIV
I've got to say this marketing is impressive. How to make a Camelbak advert with a rider who rarely seems to ride with a pack? Luckily Camelbak does bottles too. I'm seriously impressed as it isn't that intrusive. Now if she also had that coffee from a Camelbak bottle (like the Chute) or bag, that would be pushing it a bit too far.
She has a cool riding style. Love Wellington too. Good vibe, beautiful place.
