@Muscovir: I worked in a shop that sold Cube. If Cube is going to limit customer choice, customers may go elsewhere for their next bike. In certain disciplines, the 32 inch wheels have clearly been exciting enough that people will want to give them a try. There's always fads that fade (27.5 plus to name one) and companies lose their bet on.
We'll just have to see with 32. I disagree that the industry cabal is going to coordinate a mass movement to 32 inch wheels- it's going to take some companies making a risky move to see if consumers actually respond. Most companies aren't in the position that Cube are, and won't commit to a new standard until the concept has been proven monetarily.

That’s because consumers responded to 29. If nobody had bought them, the market would’ve responded to that by continuing 27.5 and/or 26.
Companies do not survive by forcing consumers to have limited options (typically). They survive by responding to what consumers are consuming.

@Jtstar: I don’t ride an e-bike. I just don’t really care if there’s an ad for an e moto, and think it’s stupid to insinuate PB is doing a disservice to mountain biking by taking ad revenue to keep this site alive.

@dreamlink87: I think that's about right. For the average American, getting on an ebike is a huge improvement as long as there is pedaling involved. I ended up selling my ebike after recovering from an injury- once I got my base back, I wasn't interested in riding it so it just collected dust. It was super helpful getting back into riding, but once I could just pedal a bike I got over it.
