@Dougal-SC: Electronics/magnetic dampers (not sure if the auto patents also cover bicycle use?) could maybe solve that problem, would certainly complicate it!

I think the S is the model to get - a tad over 2 grand and the different components might not be class leading but in some cases (simplicity and reliability) preferred? Use the extra money to upgrade as stuff breaks... or buy a nice set of wheels to lose weight where its noticed most

@andrewmajor: All good... I am thinking to overstroke my 'old' fluid with an 'old' 216x63 shock (maybe destroking with spacers if needed?) to mullet it instead to see if it's worth the hype :D but think the rocker might hit the seat tube, need to check
