First Ride: Sour's 32/29" Mega Mullet Trail Bike
@kanioni: Maybe 27.5x3.8 is an option? I think 4ish fat tyres can ride OK, I only tested in sand (Simpson Desert).

First Ride: Sour's 32/29" Mega Mullet Trail Bike
@schu2470: The XR4 was probably the best 29x3.0 tyre. Looks as though WTB have cut their range down a bit, used to be able to get aggressive 2.8s from them. But yes it is sad to see! And I would have liked to have tried to Full Stache.. maybe one day

11 Great MTB Deals for Labor Day 2026
I'm a bit of a fat bastard and like them on i35ish rims... I think that's the challenge - i30ish suits 2.4ish tyres, 2.6 is a bit too rounded and not as supportive on i30ish

Litespeed Unveils Pisgah Titanium Trail Hardtail
@Mac1987: Also STA gets slacker (listed) with size increasing... the opposite of what's needed. HTA increases with size (for reasons I cannot understand). Bottom bracket drop decreases with frame size increasing, also seemingly arbitrarily and I think mnot measured correctly. Wow is all I can say.

And abysmal standover. For that much money you would want perfect geometry, I can't think of a use case that this geo fits well
