@wburnes: I've had a coil conversion in forks for 4 years. Never needed to switch coils. Only thing I adjust is the hydraulic bottom out depending where I ride the dh bike.
I tried a lot.pf.fprkw and aftermarket options. Nothing cea close to a quality coil conversion. Too many people comment without having properly tried lots of different options

Exactly this. Buy an old boxer or fox dh fork, put a smashpot V2 in it. Plenty of at home tuning can be done if needed. Works out a lot cheaper and in my experience, a better fork as well

Fun is different to different people. Rolling speed and extra grip may be fun of on more chilled tracks. Really does depend what you ride etc I lovey enduro and dh bike, some don't get the fascination and want 120mm max travel.
More options for more people, only a good thing.
