Filmed early one summer morning, Glenn wanted to show what an average morning ride in his hometown of Prince George, BC looks like.

Ripping Trail
Mobbin' through the forest, Full Speed Ahead style.

Whips for breakfast.
Back up for another one.

Ripping Trail
Glenn has put the hard-hitting GRID cockpit and wheels through their paces this season, shredding everything from long climbs with punishing descents to big bike park booters. His NS trail bike is also complete with Gradient modular cranks and FSA's fully featured Flowtron dropper seatpost.

Excellent bike handling skills, I do however, like others, question this predilection for the roost of a berm. I have taught driving, I have raced open wheeled cars, raced some bikes here and there. There is ZERO advantage to this activity, and multiple disadvantages.

The only motivation that I can see for this habit is for video "hits" and to look cool in ones own mind. I have put together the odd berm and jump and the abuse of the beloved dirt has me dismayed. I am sure there are many hardcore builders that swoon at those dirt flicking shots, it's such a shame that this has become so desired in the minds and videos of the next generation of bikers.

Swoon is generally used in a positive sense...I think you mean squirm?

@dontcoast: No I mean swoon in the sense of swoon, light headed. I don't like newspeak!

I think roosting corners is fine for video shots, so long as you walk your ass back up there and pack some dirt back in to the hole you just made.

Berm police should piss off, roosting berms is fun. Don't build them if you don't want people to ride them.

 @Bomadics:

Swoon:
: to suddenly become unconscious
: to become very excited about someone or something

You are correct the negative use predates the positive, tho in current useage tho "swooning at/about" is generally postitive. Meh, language is a silly malleable tool anyway, just thought it would confuse some peeps.

@SlinkySammy: I kind of agree, but I think you need to be either doing trail maintenance or contributing money to your local association if you're going to purposely ride in such a way that the trails are damaged.
If either of those, awesome - you're probably in the black on the karma scales.

But if you're just out there smashing berms and giving nothing back, that's kind of shitty.

Great video quality! Doesn't look over done, good enough level of scary not to drive people away. It's the good kind of scary. Smile
