@rustyglaze5: No true. You have the right to defend yourself. Sure, put him in the hospital and you probably get charged. But a shot to the head or, like the one kid actually did, a kick to the balls is not going to bring charges. I think holding him down and calling him bitch until he apologized would've been the best move.
