In the interview with wyn, finn said that he had decided to just ride the race. The result was not the main focus. And I think that will have played a part in his result. He has the technique, he has the strength and endurance, but taking the pressure off yourself to win can be liberating. And I think the semi finals play their part in the guys being more exhausted on race day. No matter how well you train, nobody qualifies for the main race. The field is too tight and the level too high for that.
Cancel the semis and let more riders start on race day. Then the first races will hardly have any screen time, as it is now, many of the top riders are often no longer in the race.

For me the Landing seems to be not wide enough. Bk was close to the edge as well as the guyy who crashed. After such a big compression at the lip this is a receive for Desaster. Also some more pads would hurt nobody.
For me the most interesting stuff is the technical natural parts of the course.
