He got the consequences of his choice. now in my view the organizers should make a list of tricks to ban. "double flip a step-down", "Frontflip a step-down" "tailwhip a step-down". So those specific things don't have to happen again.

The stories and consequences of riding with a neck brace, i remmember to hear that it can brake, and be totally dangerous, it may brake the helmet too on some impacts. etc
we may have more wide range of braces, now and in the future. but im not updated in that matter

if you guys follow the sport of big mountain biking and motocross, you know that has been proved that having a neck brace can be a deadly choice. Its a protection that is very optional, because it depends of the impact, it can make the things to get worst. The way the neck brace has been built isnt "efficient", but i think studies can be done on making something new to protect the neck, shoulders and collarbone. I mean instead of a solid plastic, a "sponge" material that absorve brutal impacts.
