What Do World Cup XC Athletes Really Think About 32" Wheels?
Clydesdale rider here: at 6'3" and 185lbs I have always thought that a larger option in road wheels would assist with handling on my road bike. My preference for mountain bikes is actually 27.5", but I like tight, technical riding more than rapid, flowing, big-hit stuff. So yeah, I think 32" wheels as an option for frame sizes over 58cm would be a good thing. Being able to ride 30mm tubeless tires has been a revelation - I can only imagine how good those tires on a slightly larger wheel would feel.

Porsche Halts eMTB Development With PON, Releases Regenerative Braking Patent
Whelp, you guys are much more up on the rules and regulations about electric assisted bicycles and their derivatives than I am or care to be. However, all-claims data is just that - ALL CLAIMS. Sorry, but your local constabulary and legislative overlords will see these injury reports as being the same. Included in the statistics will be motorized scooters and zero distinction between pedal assisted Treks vs. sinister Chinese Surrons. Think of this in much the same way that firearms have been regulated, where anything that looks remotely intimidating has been labeled an 'Assault Rifle' because the legislators were too lazy to look up what AR actually stands for. But 'Assault Rifle' sure gets the anti-gun crowd riled up, doesn't it? Don't think the same won't happen with e-bikes when the time is ripe.
And yeah, I stand by my comment regarding the mommy government. The government is an entity only out for itself and own interests. It sells safety while undermining your freedoms and liberties. Think of the fragile access that already exists for trail access in many areas of our country. Who put those limits in place? Surprise! Mommy did!
I could care less about regulating e-bikes or their relatives. I spend my time on mountain bikes far enough away from civilization that creatures of convenience are rarely seen. My original comment was to say that this is probably the golden age of these things, and anybody who wants one should probably start shopping sooner rather than later. There is zero doubt in my mind that tough regulations are just around the corner. All it will take is one young adult related to one mindless legislator to have a catastrophic accident and that will be the trigger.
A lot of you guys are just looking for things to get angry about, I swear.

Porsche Halts eMTB Development With PON, Releases Regenerative Braking Patent
Had a long conversation with an ER doc colleague of mine last summer regarding the future of e-bikes. He says the all-claims data coming out of southern California is astounding. The ER visits for young adults on those as well as the powered scooters makes him think that right now is actually the golden age for these types of transport. He suspects that the mommy government will be stepping in soon to add regulations such as top speed and power output. Apparently, the numbers of people completely wrecking themselves isn't out in the public yet, but when it does become popular knowledge the industry will be taking a big step back. If I'm not mistaken, I think I saw recently where a mother in Orange County's case against a manufacturer for wrongful death of her son had started.

@neoides: For me, it's the MH900E. Complete torture rack, but I check the bank account and garage space every time one comes up for sale.

Ducati's Cycling Expansion Plan Includes a New eMTB Coming in 2026
@Jtstar: 998R - Because it is the Holy Grail of Ducatis
1199R - Last of the V-twin superbikes
1199S - Dedicated track bike
749 - Laguna Seca bike and loaner for when friends wanna ride on the street but not be terrified
SF V4S - comfy, heated grips, nav display via blue tooth
I think about getting rid of a couple every now and again, but my oldest son will be big enough to do trackdays on em, in another year or two and his younger brother isn't far behind.

Ducati's Cycling Expansion Plan Includes a New eMTB Coming in 2026
Ducati started out making radios. They had great success and probably would have continued on this path had their factories not been bombed out by the allies in WWII. They then began making bicycles and motorized bicycles, AKA motorcycles.
That said, I have zero interest in Ducati bicycles, and that is as current owner of 5 of their super bikes. This is just a marketing ploy, kinda like the KTM bicycles. Cadillac, Porsche, Ferrari, even Lamborghini have slapped their logos on bicycles through the years. This will just be another frame produced by Giant and shipped back to Italy for red spray paint.
Yawn...

Body Found During Search for Matt Opperman in Spain
@Tiefkuehlpizza: Great comment. The only difference I have heard was that it was a rock and not a tree. I have also heard that GoPro paid for a lot of Schumacher's bills to help keep this out of the mainstream as much as possible. It was soon after this incident that the notifications started appearing on helmets regarding the attachment of foreign bodies compromising the integrity of helmet designs.
Another, similar motorsports example that comes to mind would be David Jefferies death at the IoM TT years ago. Suzuki worked hard to keep this particular engine failure out of the knowledge of consumers, especially since it was a factory backed team. I believe some GSX-R engine casing re-designs suddenly followed.
Sad for the loss to the family and community, but as others have put it, if we can learn from the possible mistakes of others it can benefit those of us still actively participating in the sport. So yeah, it's not always just a morbid curiosity that motivates the questions.
