Magura HC3 Adjustable Brake Lever - Review

Thing is that the brakes don't need these levers, you can happily ride perfectly well without them and as for the levers, I actually like them. Up until to now the only people I've found who have actually broken them either cross threaded them or tightened their levers to the bars too tightly, when it's best to have the bars secure and leave the levers with a little movement on them so the lever is less likely to break if you crash.

Yeah but only because the old (and heavy) Gustavs were so robust they didn't even need it. But as far as bite point adjustment goes, why add more complexity, remember that simpler things are often more reliable, as long as they work when I really need them I'll work around the rest.

Really though, for everyone but the professionals, and yes I mean those being sponsored and paid to ride, these probably aren't worth the money, learn to ride on the feel of the brakes.

@sandwich: You could of course, just change out the lever to one of the other models and upgrade anyway.
