Troy Brosnan’s Flat Out Winning Run at the 2026 Australian Open Downhill
It really is a great track. Has been much the same for well over a decade, absolutely brutal to race on. Thredbo are finally building a new DH track under the new gondola though, so if they ever make a bid for the WC, I would say it would likely be there. However, the world cup season doesn't really coincide with the Aussie summer at all, would have to hold it in March or April or else there would be snow... Thredbo is a ski resort after all (yes, we do have snow here...)

Thredbo Resort Announces Specialized As Official Mountain Bike Partner
Feels a bit odd to have 4 photos of peope riding Demos and not be offering a proper DH bike to hire. Swing and a miss. Living close by, I would happily spend a good chunk of money for a day on a proper DH bike, but if the only offerings are trail bikes, I'll just use my own... And pedal it at that.
