@nskerb: If this was about taxes i couldnt imagine a better way to increase them by letting the community grow with having an incredible bike park next to the town. If Im gonna guess this is about changing the flow of water. Creating such a huge area of compact dirt makes the water go on top of the soil and fairly fast into the neares creek instead of being slowed down by vegetation and going into the soil. The same thing happens on every single paved road, parking lot and house roof, and it gets a lot worse with climate change since we have longer periods of drought and longer periods with a lot of rain. Changing the "natural flow" of water is getting more and more strict all over the world because now we actually see how much we fucked up when building huge cities without planning proper drainage. Who could have guessed that growth without planning could have consequences?

It's important to remember that this bike is the top spec. Light carbon wheels, fairly light tires and costs the same as 4-5 of my meta team 29. Recon that after speccing this (really good looking bike) with better wheels, good tires, maybe some insterts and a rear shock that won't go warm after to minutes of decending, this bike would be closer to 19-20 kg. Almost weird no one have pointed out the crazy price tag yet.

@rezrov: In my experience the exo-casing fuck's up your rim way easier than the DD or new DH-casings. When on the Minion DHF EXO i had to have at least 28-30 psi in my rear wheel, but with the same thread and DH (without wire) i can run 24-25 ish pressure.

Also for a lot of people who is new to trail riding, it feels more secure clipping in when riding technical terrain since your foot would not be bouncing around.

@ratedgg13: put in mind that the Slash frame is built to be the very best frame on the market. Don't think the slash was built so that they could sell it at a competitive price point. Hoping for an alloy-slash coming in soon
