PRESS RELEASE: Industry Nine

As part of an ongoing effort to bring more Industry Nine products to cyclists throughout the world, we are increasing distribution with a European facility headquartered in Andalucía, Spain. The facility will allow us to bring the full customized product line to European customers more efficiently and at lower costs. All i9 products will continue to be machined and anodized in the Asheville, NC facilities but orders will now be assembled in Europe to allow for complete customization with a wide range of fitment options and all 11 anodized color options.

In addition to faster shipping times, the growth into the European market will allow us to improve relevance at a local level through event attendance and improved customer service with a team dedicated to better understanding European customer needs.

bigquotesIndustry Nine is excited to announce the opening of Industry Nine Europe. With sales, service, and warehouse resources available in Spain, Industry Nine can now address the European market more effectively than ever beforeJacob McGahey, Industry Nine VP

Spearheading the European expansion will be long-time Industry Nine distributor, Nathan Deibert. After six years with i9 Spanish and Portuguese distributor, Surbikes, Nathan will join the Industry Nine team directly as the European Operations Manager of the new facilities. “Having an Industry Nine team on the ground in Europe will allow us to get product to the customer faster and provide better, more personalized service all while delivering the full custom product line to this market,” says Nathan Deibert, Industry Nine European Operations Manager.

“Industry Nine’s products are of the highest quality thanks to their dedication to design, attention to detail, and years of experience in precision machining. We look forward to helping more riders in Europe discover what a difference Industry Nine wheels and components can do to make their riding experience even better.” Nathan has been instrumental in increasing Industry Nine’s European presence as a distributor, leading to a natural fit as the full-time European Operations Manager.

The expansion will formally be announced at the Eurobike trade show taking place in Friedrichshafen, Germany, held from September 4-7. Industry Nine Europe will begin shipping products later in fall 2019. We will continue to work through our network of knowledgeable distributors across Europe, but orders will now flow through the European operation allowing for a more customizable, timely and affordable process.

Great, and now you could explain how you got the Shimano micro spline licence! When every other hub manufacturer including industry leading like Hope, Chris King, tune....(and I could go on forever), can't get one!!!

Because this other brands are not Dentist enough!

Or other companies could engineer their way around it like White Industries have successfully done rather than whinge about not being included.

@Gavalar66: Well I am aware of that, but I do not believe it is a 100% equivalent solution in terms of quality and realiability (time has to proove that). And it is more expensive to manufacture.

@IluvRIDING: agreed, but, they've put it out there rather than waiting for Shimano to issue a universal license, why others are holding back when they could be making money and keeping their customers happy is beyond me, they may have a long wait, seeing as DT Swiss probably sell more wheels worldwide than anyone else it's probably proving a massive money earner for Shimano.
