Interbike Cancelled for 2019
@mikelevy: You don't deserve any L; maybe some D up against your face. It just wasn't necessary to ditch Reno for the article; it came off as obnoxious.

Santa Cruz Bicycles SOLD
Damn wish I knew SC was for sale I could have gotten a few nickels together and maybe bought them. Rollin around the world with the syndicate team and riding pimped out prototype SC bikes. Where do I sign? PS Pinkbike I think it would be very cool of you to have a "Win your own bike company contest".

@ reverend. I agree with everything you say up to the last sentence. If you want to hold Redbull or whatever company responsible for the health problems their products cause (and can prove it) I support you. But Redbull isn't making it's fortune on $25 admission ticket to Rampage. I understand the value on marketing/association to their brand and that has significant value. But if Redubull is responsible then isn't the manufacturers of the bike, components, clothing, and whatever else that can be associated to the event including the broadcasting network also responsible. And by the same reasoning any race promoter is then responsible, and then any bike park or land owner(including forest service/BLM) that allows any event to take place and financially benefits responsible. And how responsible are they: just for the medical bills, lost income, future lost income, mental and physical anguish, etc. I think this is a bad example of corporate responsibility and as you follow this line of reason we end up loosing events and access the very sport itself.

@ robaussie99 u r a dipshit. If you enter into a competition like Rampage and don't consider either negotiating or purchasing insurance then it your own damn fault that you don't have insurance. I am so tired of everyone is a victim and entitlement in general. No one was forced to ride or compete at Rampage. I hope none of us get hurt riding but the reality is there are risk and people will get hurt. Be responsible for your own actions. Glad Ratboy is on the up again. Great rider/attitude and hope him the best this year!

The van slide was SICK! Nice edit. I'm sure a lot of people are reconsidering the daily grind and thinking a long road trip is must.
