If you pay for a shuttle/lift service then this in not a freeride.
I freeride everywhere (except in the above situations).

@Crankhed: interesting! I have been using Soudal Super Tack adhesive sealant that was the closest (in durometer) to the soles of my shoes.

The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly: Pinkbike Editors' Favorite Flat Pedal Shoes
Ran 5.10 impacts for years (hi tops mostly). Then tried some RC Wildcats, not as grippy and a bit tight across the toe box but were pretty good.
I now just wear them as everyday shoes as I picked up some Unparallel Westridges for 70% off. The Westridges are as grippy as 5.10's and have ample toe box room. Excellent shoes.
