Live To Ride - Blake Samsons Day at the Beach

After months of digging Blake Samson invited the Live To Ride team down to shoot his epic spot on the Isle of Wight. After shredding for two days straight with un imaginable October weather we're all stoked with how it came out. Special thanks to Animal Clothing & Saracen Bikes.  most unique place ever for jumps.

Coming from a guy who spends way to much time on Pinkbike, I have to say this video is one of the best, the scenery is amazing, unique and beautiful. The filming is top notch, lots of nugs, but keeps its intriguing with fillers and transitions. Then there is the riding, smooth, controlled, and big bangers. Me saying that this is great edit doesn't mean much, I am just another dude, but seriously this is really good!

Nugs? Aren't they dog tits? Weird word.

Awesome concept. This video really stands out, the slider shots created a nice cinematic feel. The color graded worked out nicely as well. One thing you could think about is filming at 30fps and conforming the clips to 24 it creates a super smooth look to dj footage. Cheers.

He has to shoot at a higher fps to get slow motion. 30 fps just won't do.

Do you mean interpreting 30 to 24 (making it a bit slower) or having it conformed to 24fps with it playing at real speed? If you do mean to have it playing at real speed @ 24fps , why not shoot it at 24fps from the start? - Just a curious filmmaker over here.

If you shoot at 24 fps, you can't get any slow motion shots, which are a large part [so it seems] to MTB videos. The most common way to shoot is 60 fps and slowing it down to 30 or 24 fps. The professional cameras go far beyond that [those sexy super slow motion shots]. I shoot at 60fps and export at 24fps. You have slow motion and it looks good. But always remember the 180* shutter rule (google it) Try the "amateur videographer forum" for any questions, they're pretty good at giving advice.

^Thanks, but you did you read my post? Specifically asking if there's a reason to shoot it at 30fps and conforming it to 24fps, rather than just shooting at 24fps. (Lets just say I didn't want any slow mo)

Frame per second-fps. Feet per second- fps. Haha, im a total gun guy (mtb more so), everytime i see fps i think feet per second. Haha, if youre shooting 30 fps on a gun... Well lets just say thats slo mo. Haha

Amazing location and great riding, but the song in this edit is annoying and very distracting. Other than that, this piece is Sick!
