Henry's Waffle House: Bike Brands Need to Get A Grip
Wheelsets ! How many big brands repeatedly have every reviewer refer to butter when discussing rims!?!? If it’s a 160/170mm bike then anything less than the demo or release videos riding should not be capable of denying a rim! Honestly why are bike mechanics trained flying monkeys? I’ve been told wheel rocks can do that, there are just too many unknowns… well not really, the marketing copy makes the claims, the marketing video should clearly state the facts about where the upper limit is… if I’m an intermediate rider on intermediate trails I should never deny the oem rim… or at least not in the first month. Yet here we are most people buying a very special bike seem to accept that they will need a new wheelset in the foreseeable future.

First Look: The 2025 Lapierre Spicy Can Be High-Pivot Or Low-Pivot
So does the low pivot have a more rearward axle path? If so with the high pivot not eliminating kickback what’s the benefit to the high pivot?

MRP's New Weight-Specific Lift Damper Fits Fox, RockShox & New MRP Forks
@Mac1987: in addition to your comment I would say this largely only holds true for average weight riders… M/l frame size and sub 80kg and everything off the shelf will perform well for you. Heavier and it gets progressively harder to make stock stuff work. Same same when you head sub 70/65kg zone. That’s without the complication of grade of terrain and speed etc. I think this is a great option! Price point could be better.

Bike Check: Connor Fearon's Forbidden Supernought - Crankworx Cairns 2024
Cairns is muddy, slippery rocks and some fast zones… I guess he is prioritising grip for the slip over straight line speed.

Review: Chromag Seton Pants and Dominion Jersey
Mtb companies can’t name something themselves… apparently all the good names are already in use on other products, but that does t really matter. Now I can have a jersey named after my brakes !?

Devinci Announces All-New E-Troy Lite & Yoann Barelli Shreds It
Curious how YB has managed to see alignment moving to advertising an ebike given his vocal position and push for a more environmentally conscious approach to the bike industry… Partially a dig, but at the same time I get it. The companies can no longer afford to sit on the sideline. Or can they?!?
