@jtnotsure: it is essentially a ban for all because early transition is severely restricted by multiple factors outside of the childs control. Its also getting banned at light speed in many countries around the world. Trans people are basically erased from society while everybody cheers. Even the headline of this article is misleading. Why would anyone nees 800wh battery capacity on every ride? The problem for the stagnating or increasing weight are the battery capacity wars. We need a class of 500-600wh or modular approaches.

is the EP801 really rattle free? The Ep8 in the rise rattles constantly...

@BermJunky: Like I said: it depends also on the frame but by design all current Bosch motors rattle because of the internal freecoaster hub. On the scott ransom eride its not as prominent and only rattles in certain situations on the trek rail it sounds totally different and rattles non-stop while casting off-road dh. Ep8 in orbea rise is the worst. Sounds like chain slap back in the day with a front derailleur. e8000 rattles too but only in really rough sections of the trail. You can provoke the rattle by pushing the bike slowly forward while jerking the cranks a bit back and forth quickly.

@mikekazimer: Its always unclear if the weight is claimed or actually measured by the reviewer plus its not mentioned if with or without pedals, different tires and soon. That's why all of my ebikes are way heavier than in their reviews. Also the rattle of the Bosch motor got addressed in some initial reviews but for some reason its almost never included in newer reviews which sucks because it can differ between frames.
