We Explain the Bike Industry | Pinkbike Magazine Show Ep. 2 - Taipei Special
i dont think people are that positive with transmission.
it works great ok, but will never be in the pricerange of cable gx or xt. its like porsches are cool, technically great maybe, but a golf it is and will ever be.
i guess the cheapest we will ever see transmission on oem bikes will not be under 8000€. right now not even under 10k

Review: 1,000 Miles on SRAM's New Eagle Transmission
@mikekazimer: yet they wont be developed further. its either adapt or die. in this case buy a udh frame and a groupset for more the 1500€. no more 100€ derailleur that is better than the old one. the new tec means new everything. great review. If it werent for al these negative i'd consider buying one

Review: 1,000 Miles on SRAM's New Eagle Transmission
so i know now that my bike is old, bought it in january. no udh.
the old system of sram wont be developed further i guess. so looks like i'll slowly convert to shimano. the development goes in a far more healthy direction.
great review, i really think the system works perfect, but absolutely the wrong direction for me. more expensive, more proprietary and electronic.

How to Not Feel Stupid Walking Into a Bike Shop
my experience in shops is: they just argue to sell you what they have. they never say, sounds like we dont have what you want.
if i try to buy an enduro bike and the dont have one, the try to tell you 140mm and 66 degree ha is enduro.
i envy those areas that really have good shops

Throwback Thursday: A Brief History of Direct Mount Derailleurs
@sack-zement: but thats just bad luck. imagine to have to either pay 300 for the derailleur or hassle with the bike instead of at least a chance its just the hanger. i have killed many hangers but never a derailleur.

direct mount is so great, instead of bending the hanger you now have to replace the derailleur. so cool
