You need to tighten them really tight. I even put the excess straps under the loop again for increased rightness :-)

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Suffer From Arm Pump When Mountain Biking?
@zizajaun: I use Shimano SLX 7120 but I carefully bleed them on the rotor with brake pads still inside. Works best with a new rotor and pads.

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Suffer From Arm Pump When Mountain Biking?
@SwampThAAng: Try some tacky rubber grips. You do not need to grip them tightly when the rubber is "sticking" to your glove :-)

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Suffer From Arm Pump When Mountain Biking?
True story. I had to service my Pike RC 1.0 every 40 hours of riding to avoid arm pain. Vorsprung Luftkappe helped a bit. But then I bought used Manitou Mattoc Pro and realized that the Pike's RC damper was not helping :-). I then upgraded the Mattoc with IRT and swore at myself that I did not ditch the Pike much sooner.

Tech Randoms: La Thuile XC World Cup 2026
The Clik valves on my enduro bike work fine even without those little pieces of rigid rubber and checking the tire pressure before every ride is a bit faster :-)

The Future of Enduro, Trade Shows, and Mountain Bikes
@thewho07: They do exist. Unofficial enduro races are/were done on them in my area :-). They are fun on an enduro bike. Not so much on short travel trail bike. Would be a nightmare on XC bike :-D

Tech Randoms: 2026 La Thuile DH World Cup
@Austink: Same solution but I am using the Loamlab Counterpuch as outside clamp on old ODI Rogue lock-on grips. I can hook my pinkie there but they do not obstruct the outside of my hand like Wolf Tooth Locked-In bar ends would.

The Future of Enduro, Trade Shows, and Mountain Bikes
My favorite trails have jumps, drops and step-ups on them. I am still learning to jump correctly so I do not always land perfectly. There are also some drops to flat on my "shortcut" route out of the city into the woods.
I have already cracked rear end of my previous aluminum trail bike (category 3). I am now enjoying a 2 kg heavier carbon enduro bike (category 4) with 1 cm more travel which handles all this just fine. I would probably crack a XC bike in a few rides :-)
