The Coastal Crew: Skeptical - Video
@mikelevy: I feel exactly the same way. Ultimately one of the best feelings about reaching the top of a particularly ambitious trail or getting through a terrifying descent is knowing that not everyone can do it, but that I am one of the few that is able.

If you don't live in America, maybe you just don't get it. Trail access for mountain bikes in America is such an awful uphill struggle that maybe that's why so many of us resist this so hard. The Sierra club will not look at these kindly, and we WILL lose trail access in America to ALL mountain bikes. I get that this isn't true for the whole world, so maybe if you live in a place where trail access isn't so fragile you could have a positive attitude about ebikes. But as an American, knowing where this could take us, I cannot and will not stop resisting ebikes.

Rubber Side Down, Danny Summerhill - Video
@Maxxis: Can you ever see tubeless taking over from tubulars in top level cross racing? It was interesting to see Tony Martin on clinchers at UCI TT Worlds, and i've seen enough tubulars with poor glue tear off the rim mid-race to wonder if tubeless might be the better solution.

@Kramz: yeah but as a pro athlete where one of his main sponsors is literally a tire company, he wouldn't have to deal with that. Plus, I had always assumed the entire pro field of cross was on tubulars so it's extra surprising to see him not even on latex tubes.

Cyclocross is badass! Surprised he's on tubes though.

Ah, yes, just like Denver. Nestled nicely between Nashville and San Francisco.

Stans Flow MK3 Wheelset - Review
I have these rims on my Patrol and they're awesome! I broke the rear wheel after a season, but that's about twice as long as rims typically last for me so I'm a happy customer.

No it wouldn't, but you also have to consider how much more dominant female athletes tend to be in mountain biking compared to male athletes. I don't know exactly why, but successful women in mountain biking, when on form, tend to completely demolish the competition. You only have to look at ACC, Tracy Moseley, or more recently, Cecile Ravanel to see my point. Rachel's success is hugely impressive, and it's hard not to argue that she is the best female mountain biker we have ever seen. However, it's just not realistic to compare her success to a male racer winning that many world cups in a row, because the turnover rate for success is much higher in men's racing.
