Bikepark Leogang: New Big Bag Jump is the main attraction of 2011

The Bikepark Leogang enters the final stretch of a really eventful season, bringing even more diversification to visitors than last year. The new Bag Jump is particularly popular: Everybody between beginner’s level and perfect mountain bike pro can work on his style and try new tricks.

The Kona Groove approved Bikepark Leogang can’t complain about too few visitors. It seems that the mediocre summer we’ve had until now doesn’t diminish real passionate riders’ appetite for outdoor action. The 2011 visitor counts speak for themselves: about 57,000 bike-rides were registered at the Bikepark Leogang up to end of July, an increase of almost 10 percent compared to last year.

The Bikepark Leogang is immensely attractive to bikers from all over Europe – and that definitely has its reasons: Leogang has a great reputation when it comes to spectacular events of international and world class character: The Monster Energy White Style in January, the 26TRIX fueled by Monster Energy in June or the UCI Downhill and Fourcross World Cup Stop as part of the Out of Bounds Festival are just a few examples.
Furthermore, Leogang stands for great riding for every skill level. Mountain bikers of every gravity discipline and skill level will find their bike homeland in the middle of the Salzburger Alps.
Especially during holiday times Leogang is the ideal spot for a vacation somewhere between total action and absolute relaxing.

In 2011, the best reason to travel to Leogang is certainly the newly acquired Big Bag Jump. All riders, whether they are pros or beginners, use the huge air cushion to practice new tricks, or just for styling through the air without worrying about the risk. Even the more dangerous tricks that often end in crashes are easily caught by the huge air cushion. Since July, the Big Bag Jump replaced the former foampit, allowing for new dimensions of trick training. The Bag Jump is only in operation in good weather from 11 am to 5 pm. During that time you can try to fool gravity as long as you want to.

For presenting its visitors well-maintained and diversified courses every year, Leogang has been working with the probably best course designers in Austria for nearly ten years: Reinhard Unterberger and Erwin Herzog from the HU-Cooperation. These two course-building legends, both active bikers and snowboarders themselves, take care of the continuous maintenance of the well-groomed courses. Every new season they have a couple of surprises in store for the riders. Watch out in 2012 for their latest ideas. As experience has taught us, we can expect a lot of bike action and driving fun.
