@scary1: transgender people represent 0.01 to 0.06 of the world population. The propeotion of those who are elite athletes is even smaller. I think you are overstating the so called problem.
Though I do understand if/when it happens there is a discussion to be had re: fairness.

@bman33: It appears to me that women tennis athletes get more equal access to marketing, promotion, and media which would explain packing stadiums and pushing merchandise, hence the smaller gap in pay. All I am saying is women don't get the same visibility as male athletes (in most sports), and my hypothesis is that if they did you would see them create more revenue for their brands.
And there is a way to test this (albeit unrealistic).
