Jun 18, 2023Classic Rock Lobster TIG 26''
$1150 USDSelling a sweet Rock Lobster TIG 26er that's been sitting in a garage for a little more than 10 years now. Going of the M950 XTR groupset I'm guessing that the frame is from the late 90's early 2000's at the latest, meaning it could easily be one of Paul's nontrager frames which is probably why I can't find a serial number anywhere on it. I do plan to reach out to Paul and get a better idea of when this one was built but I'll leave the rest of the specs here in the meantime.
Newer Bontrager aluminium cockpit
Chris King headset
Magura Louise front hydraulic disc (probably thing I'd change on this bike but works fine)
XTR rear rim brake
120mm RoxShox fork with lockout
Full XTR 3x8 Groupset outside of Deore XT front der and Sun rings up front
Mavic Maxtal Disc rim up front and WTB Speed Master in the back, both on Paul Hubs with Specialized Roll-x Dual 26''x2.0'' tires
Tomson Elite seatpost and collar
WTB Saddle
This thing has been sitting for quite some time so I cleaned it up a bit and took it around the block and everything is butter smooth on it. You can really tell how dialed the geometry is on this thing as soon as you're on it, great ride as is plus the frame has tons of potential.

Oct 29, 2020Ibis Tranny 29''
$2250 USDFor sale is a sweet Ibis Tranny that I purchased brand new in 2016. Was raced on for 1 season that year and hasn't been ridden since. Parts listed below:
Headset: Cane Creek Forty Series
Stem: Thompson Elite X4
Bars/Grips: Stock Ibis carbon bar 780mm Wide with stock Lizard skins bolt on grips
Brakes: Sram Guide RSC
Fork: Fox Factory Series Float 29'' 120mm travel with CTD remote
Wheels:Ibis 928 wide carbon rims laced to DT Swiss 350 with a Schwalbe Racing Ralph in the rear and the stock Ibis hub with a Schwalbe Nobby Nic in the front
Drivetrain: Sram X01 with a RaceFace Turbine crank and 30t RaceFace ring
Seat/Seatpost: Stock Ibis Seat with KS LEV Integra Remote dropper.
All in all a super clean and capable bike with hardly any wear. Haven't weighed it but it climbs incredibly well and descends better than any xc oriented hardtails I've ridden.

Feb 14, 2019S-Works Tarmac 54cm
$3500 USDFor sale is a Specialized S-Works Tarmac. I am the second owner the first being journalist for a magazine who had it for a little more than a month before I purchased it without the wheels, so no carbon Roval wheels here but the roval fuse slx23 and the roval rapide sl 35 that I picked up have been a nice pairing for me. Overall it is in great shape unfortunately there is some pretty bad rub on the crankset and small paint chip near the headtube both of which I have pictured. Some changes I've since made to the bike since include a swap to a midcompact 52-36t chainring by praxis and went from a toupe pro saddle to an s-works power saddle but I'll be throwing the toupe back on unless you would like to make a deal. Specs as follow
54cm S-works Tarmac SL5 frame
S-works Fact Carbon fork
S-works carbon seat post
S-works carbon bars
Specialized Toupe pro
Fizik microtex bar tape
Shimano Dura Ace derailleurs, shifters and brakes
S-Works carbon crankset
Praxis Works Levatime 52/36t chainring
Roval Fuse slx23 (front)
Roval Rapide sl35 (rear)
Moving and need to sell, price negotiable!

Pinkbike's Burning Question - Does Size Matter?
It boils down to the fact that its all about the rider in the way that a small company can provide a more personalized bike to fit the needs of a certain niche group of riders perfectly because only hundreds or thousands of customers. While a large company on the other hand has to provide a bike that appeals to all factors within that genre of riding because it will be sold to hundreds of thousands, for example certain all trail, all mountain, and gravity bikes will be designed with flat out performance and speed in mind while others will go for a high fun factor like a bikes capability for jumping, etc... Not that going balls out fast isn't fun so a large company has to find a happy medium for EVERYONE in that group while a smaller company can fit the bill to whomever they please.
