The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: Pinkbike Editors' Favorite Mountain Bike Helmets
check out Fox Proframe (RS) and the Met Parachute. They aren't terrible in the arizona desert. The MET is a convertible so that helps.

What is the purpose of a downward angled stem if there are spacers under it on the steerer tube? Why not straight stem no spacers? Is this part of XC fashion?

Burning Question: What's the Safest Full-Face Helmet for Your Riding Style?
@justridingalong1: "I've ridden and crashed in the IXS Trigger. Very comfortable helmet and has a DH rating. All good. Except the times I've hit my head in the Trigger vs in more robust helmets like 100% aircraft 2 or a Fox V1 I think my head hurt more in the Trigger than others. Its amazingly lightweight but that comes at a cost of so very little padding. I've since retired the Trigger for a MET Parachute (untested by me) and a Fox Proframe RS (tested) for pedal enduro days and although the get offs haven't been the exact same I do like having more padding between my head and the helmet shell. DH park days are now only in more robust DH helmets. Aircraft got retired and now in an ION something." This is a cut & paste of a post to another user in this thread in case anyone calls me out for double posting or whatever. I remember even at the time of my get off in the Trigger thinking my head hurt more than expected.

@southshorepirate: thumbs up for being a Destin Smarter Everyday nerd like me. And for Veritassium though his presenting cadence always bothered; ; me. Destin with the science and the slow mo guys with the camera and flinging some crash test dummies around would make for good video.

@shagolagal: my bicycle was sold to me as a mental health tool with physical health side benefits, not a play thing. As of today the cost offset of seeing a therapist has saved me hundreds of thousands of dollars. Hmm looking at the math I should buy another bicycle.
