DH World Cup 3 - Leogang Preview and Track Walk

There are many very fast moving things to get excited about this weekend (epic racing and Claudio, obviously), but I'd just like to post some love for the skill of these three lensmen. The locations are beautiful and the camaraderie is intense but you bring them over to those of us who aren't lucky enough to be there in person. Not sure what it is about this set that I like so much - possibly the variety of landscape and people and weather, maybe. I'm really digging the galleries this season! Keep it up ...

Video: Josh Bryceland's Hafjell GoPro run

I've often read people say stuff like "The top pros just float down the mountain..." but not really got it. Now I do - the camera shakes more on the flats than the rock gardens. I've always loved watching Rat's flowy riding style and am so pleased it's translating into top drawer results finally. Awesome stuff.

Video: Trail Makeover 2014

I was totally wrapped in this, thinking it was some US dirt jumps/crew until I saw everyone turning up to ride in their UK numberplated cars...IMHO this just makes it better because it seems so hard to find, create and keep dirt like this in this country. Awesome job on the jumps as well as the edit and long may your special place remain :)

Results: Shimano BDS Round 2 - Fort William

Not weird - an unfortunate example of social media does the opposite of good. Si (who organises it) put out an FB post a week or so ago and it said this: "apologies we had about 1% of Red Bulls budget and did it out the back of my van on a shoestring. Of course it was a bit rough around the edges but it was a start. Problem was all the negative comments meant no sponsors wanted to invest in the live stream. Without investment we couldn't improve it so I pulled the plug. Sorry fella. Si.." A real shame because BDS could be a real media event with so many top riders entering. Ah well, perhaps someone with some media skills will volunteer to do it for a while.....
