Whoop Becomes Title Sponsor of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series
@re22: I haven't tested a Garmin for sleeping because my allegiance to a "watch" is with the Apple products that I'm tied in to and refuse to give up for the day to day. I had considered getting a Garmin watch over the Whoop but in the end went with the Whoop. My assumption from casual research seems to say the sleep data is pretty even between the two. Since I can add the HR to Garmin for cycling activities and liked the battery life and lower footprint of the whoop device in the end.

Whoop Becomes Title Sponsor of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series
Glass half full. I'm a new Whoop wearer and quite enjoy it. If you don't care for the wrist strap as a lot of commenters are alluding to, they offer a bunch of apparel options to try out. The sleep data is what led me to wanting to try it but the the seamless integration to my Garmin 530 and Peloton equipment has been a nice added bonus. I bet a lot of people who decry it haven't even tried it but knock it. If you don't want the data that's fine, don't comment though. At the very least, it's keeping some form of mountain biking running for a few more years.
