First Ride: The 2025 Specialized Stumpjumper Has a New Dual Chamber Air Shock
I love my Stump and the Evo it replaced. With the new welding tech Specialized managed to make the Chisel pretty light for an alloy frame. I’m guessing that alloy will cover the Low + mid range bikes and these carbons are just the top. There’s already pics of an alloy version floating around and it has 4 cables! That will probably be the pinkbike commenters choice.

Review: Funn Python Flat Pedals - Thin & Grippy
After a few crashes due to clipping pedals I’m looking at a thinner alternative to my Dagga’s. Anyone got any suggestions? One up’s, PNW’s? The Canfield pedals look worth a try but freight to Australia doubles the price of the pedal. I was looking forwards to the Funn pedals as a local shop stocks the brand but the Nylon parts seem out of place on a pedal that’s not much cheaper than some top end offerings. There’s an Xpedo pedal that looks good but I’ve not heard much about the brand before.

Tested: Do Short Cranks Work For Tall Riders?
@gschwell: Cool. I’m intrigued. I’ve built another bike with 170’s… and it’s sooo much slower. It’s also an older (retro cool), full ridged toy. So I totally accept that there are many factors between the two bikes beyond 5mm of crank length. But when you’re getting older, have limited ride time and need to stay within a budget then these experiments get harder to do. And the less I spend on cranks the more purple parts I can buy!!! But you have me inspired to experiment a little more.

Tested: Do Short Cranks Work For Tall Riders?
Sorry if this has been asked already, but what about a single speed? I currently ride 175's as "longer is better" is the common thought among the single speed type. I'd guess that dropping the gear ratio the bike will go slower, especially as I'm not much of a spinner. Thanks!

Dangerholm's 'Lemmy Forever' Hardtail - A Tribute to Motörhead's Singer & Bassist
Tough crowd today, love the bike and, as always, love you beautiful detailing. Lenny probably didn’t ride XC but I feel like he’d appreciate the art and craft of a sweet bike build.

Vista Outdoor Agrees to Buy Fox Racing for $540M
Different companies. Fox Racing is the soft gear and Fox Shocks (called Fox Tail I think?!?) is the suspension. I’m sure that heaps of people could give you more info than me though.

Formula Announces New CURA X Brake
Really loved my 2 Pot Cura’s. best lever feel and power. But I always had trouble with noise. Dry, wet didn’t matter. Also tried 3 different pads and 2 types of formula rotors (newer and older style) Anyone got any ideas?

Commencal Releases Clash Park Edition
I’ve got a bike with a 7 speed box DT and paired it up with a small 28 tooth chainring. We don’t live in the Alps or Rocky Mountains, so for our local rolling hills it works really well. But the reality is that there are so many 11 or 12 speed options for the same price that I’m not sure I’d bother again.
