I think the most important skill is actually using manuals on the trail. Being able to Manual through a double, connect a long pair of rollers, Manual through a significant depression etc. it’s often quicker, safer and still looks super steezy. Especially on easy flow trails where the jumps are too small for the trial speed. I can Manual down a road and wheelie for a dozen meters but it’s a bit hit n miss. But I love being able to solidly pump a manual through rollers. If i were to recommend something I’d really work on that rather than just being able to wheelie along the flat road.
