MTB Tech We've Spotted at the 2020 Tour de France
Using inserts to keep the tire in the wheel, protect those puny sidewalls from pinching on the road gaps, is actually a good idea. Tannus has some inserts that decrease rolling resistance by 3%, as they say.

Without the cooling fins it could potentialy disturb less the airflow. Perhaps the disturbance in airflow wasn't beneficial, especially since MTBers drag those rotors for years each descent and not even fading occurs .

Randoms: New eMTBs, Smart Helmets & More from Sea Otter Play
Too little range, but if they get the range extended by regen braking the game would change.

@Counsel: should try potatoes with mayo. But the propper way. Boil some potatoes, hard boil 2 eggs. When the potato cool down a bit, peel and slice, not thin. hand shake the hard boiled yolks with 2 fresh yolks, adding little by little of oil, until you have enought of the mayonnaise. put a little bit of vinegar on the potatoes, salt, the freshly made mayonnaise and voyla, some delicious potato salad.

It would be all over the place. Sam Hill uses a M size, when he could get away with XL. Same for Richie Rude. Then there is Gwin on XL when he should be on a size L. My thinking is that every rider is different, likes different aspects of their bikes. Some prefer the ultra short chainstays. Others love the stability and centered position the longer one offers. My takeaway from all this grim show is that a longer bike with long chainstay and high rise bars provide best qualities to plow, high bottom bracket requires less lean angle, get better usage of square profile tires and better braking from the weight not being under the axle line. But thats me

The only way to beat this would be in a 1 hour descent! Anyone know some hill where you can hold 40 km/h while going down?
