Opinion: Handlebar Width is the Most Overlooked Element of Mountain Bike Fit
I didn't like the idea of the biacromial width be the measurement.
Can you add another measurement? The elbow to elbow while open arms width?
I do think this is a more apropriate measurement to take in consideration, since people have shorter or longer arms and it definetly influence on the bar width.

High Bars vs Low Bars: Which Setup Wins World Cup DH Races?
@IsaacWislon82: and that's where long chainstays come to play. If you can put more weight on the front wheel simply by using your feet, you don't need to lean on the bars. Less arm pump too.

High Bars vs Low Bars: Which Setup Wins World Cup DH Races?
@zacjob: There still is an idea that shorter chainstays make the bike more maneuverable.
Just like in a car, or a bus for increased perception, I prefer to be in the middle of the wheelbase than riding over one axle or the other.

Industry Digest: MIPS Settles $3.2M Infringement Case, Eurobike Announces Future Changes & More
" He's joined by eight residents who say they have either been injured or suffered near-misses."
Yeah, I bike to work every day. I alone have 8 near misses from reckless drivers, drivers going trough red lights, sideswiping, right hooks, every week. What police says? Nothing. They say nothing. They do nothing. If I sue the mayor, governor or president because they do nothing? Case dismissed.

The Death Of Derailleurs? Avinox Announces Motor "Gearbox" - Eurobike 2026
@oldsam: there is a predictable power from the engine, from the bike alone and the general positioning from the rider that will have a predictable mass. Total system weight might varies under 10%.
Baja race trucks weight that much because of the weight of the unsuspended parts. If wheels, tires and other unsuspended parts are lighter, the truck can be lighter too. Weight of the driver is negligible in this case.
MTB rider has a lot of positions to assume because of the crank, crank down on outside of the corner for example, the rider has the force to pull, push and shove the bike wherever it wants to go, and weights 4 to 8 times more than the vehicle.

The Death Of Derailleurs? Avinox Announces Motor "Gearbox" - Eurobike 2026
@wburnes: with the E-CVT it might be possible, but there will be close to zero assist and it would be a necessity to have e-brake to generate enough energy.

The Death Of Derailleurs? Avinox Announces Motor "Gearbox" - Eurobike 2026
@wburnes: The CVT relies on battery power and electric motors. Its a planetary gear with 3 imputs and 1 output. There is a video made by Jason from engineering explained and some others too about the E-CVT.
It's genious.
