First Ride: 2022 Focus Jam2 eMTB
@stumphumper92: while your comments are technically true, the majority of these posts aren’t hating on e bikes, which is in itself surprising. They are pointing out the insane gap of intended vs actual use for many units sold and how companies prioritizing these models and specs for production leads to less availability of high end parts for the comments section.

First Ride: The 2022 Ibis Exie is Made in USA & Ready to Race
@HB208: Watsonville industrial park real estate isn’t all that expensive. Given the rest of ibis infrastructure is already in the general area, I’m guessing the overall cost savings for such a relatively small facility being relocated to somewhere with significantly lower wages would be negligible. That’s not even considering the opportunity cost loss by not having designers, production and testing in the same place with year round riding. It’s not like ENVE is affordable for most people even though Ogden is among the cheaper pleases to live in the US.

British Councillor Objects to Local Bike Park Due to Fears of Child Molesters & 'Aggressive Males'
@TypicalCanadian: no matter the amount of people believing in the fiction, it’s not hate if it’s simply describing facts. Religion is logically impossible to defend from facts, hence the need for faith and people like you to unwittingly promulgating it by attacking logical objections you find offensive to the collective delusion. You and the council mentions in the article are employing a classic trope of religious logic by appealing to respect for the emotions of people who believe in fiction rather than even attempting to defend the fiction. I’d rather be a part of a community that has an honest debate about facts instead of using kid gloves around someone’s fiction.

Video: Ibis's New Aluminum Ripley is More Metal, More Slacker
@halljam: this is in now way in depth... I’m running a 10 speed HG 11-46t with SLX derailleur/crankset and Deore shifter on an old hardtail and while it’s not as smooth as the GX on my other bike, it’s not far away. Significantly better performance than the microshift i was running prior and is now on my wife’s hardtail.

Video: Mammoth Mountain Opens New eMTB Trail
I'm amazed by the amount of people taking ebikes on the lifts at Mammoth, clearly the typical SoCal weekender that makes the majority of visits isn’t hurting for $. Unfortunately the loose cinder soil, inexperienced riders and heavy bikes are tough on trail maintenance, as the singletrack gets really blown out in the best of circumstances. With that in mind the 4x kinda makes sense.
