They must have become more comfortable so they were less in a rush to get home.

How about a thin strip of tape? But I agree it’s a hassle. I wouldn’t want to have to reset seat height and saddle alignment every time I run an errand.

I have had about 25mm of bounce in the 100mm KS that has been on my rigid fat bike for the past 4 years. It gets less frequently use than the regular mtbs and I wouldn’t want it on most bikes but on this one it is perfect.

The Hammerhead 360 is a Vibration Damping Stem
@optimumnotmaximum: cool, I am most interested in inserts for run flat ability so I can finally leave the spare tube behind, but Cush core seems like overkill for my needs.

The Hammerhead 360 is a Vibration Damping Stem
@optimumnotmaximum: I still haven’t pulled the trigger on tire inserts. I am interested but don’t have problems with flats and am satisfied with the PSI I run, but always looking towards the next possible improvement.

I tried a vibrocore bar on my FS bike and felt noticeably less fatigued after rides. Then got a new hardtail for trail riding for the first time in a few decades and initially it felt pretty harsh. Learned to ride it smoother, added vibrocore bars and rev grips (went extreme on the damping since I have some nerve issues) and now the bike feels awesome and very comfy.

@carym: I had a similar problem with left shoulder blade, pinching nerve causing numbness and severe pain in left index finger and thumb. Wider bars helped and a fully split keyboard for work eliminated the source of the problem.

I like seeing the max travel go up above 130. Their website actually specifies a max ATC covered under warranty, but claims it typically matches 130 travel. This is a top contender for the single speed build I am planning for next year especially now that it can definitely accommodate the spare fork I have that can go to a minimum of 140. I hope the price stays around $450 for the frame only!
